Victor Durán, PhD student at UCM with Dr. Elizabeth Castillo Martínez and Dr. Javier Carretero González makes a short stay at the University of Nottingham, with Dr. Matt Cliffe to study the structure of cycled electrodes
Jinyu Chen, PhD student with Dr. Maider Zarrabeitia at KIT/HIU makes a short stay in July 2024 at ICTP/CSIC, to study the dielectric properties of his K-ion polymer thin films with Dr. Javier Carretero-González
Dr. Maider Zarrabeitia visits ICTP-CSIC and UCM and delivers two seminars
On 3rd July, at ICTP-CSIC, Maider disscussed polymer electrolytes and SEI layer formation.

of the International Society of Electrochemistry (9-12 June 2024, Stresa, Italy)
Dr. Maider Zarrabeitia (HIU/KIT) will be presenting the last results on polymer electrolytes for solid-state potassium-ion batteries at the 37th Tropical meeting in Stresa.

Alejandro Ares (ICTP) goes on a short stay to HIU/KIT
Alejandro Ares, PhD student at the ICTP, under the supervision of Dr. Javier Carretero-Gonzalez is visiting the laboratory of Dr. Maider Zarrabeitia from May-July 2024 to study the interfaces of the polymer electrolytes he has developed at ICTP as well as to learn processing methodologies from HIU/KIT
2024 The 7th International Conference on Advanced Energy Materials (ICAEM 2024)
Jinyu Chen, PhD student at HIU/KIT, presented his research on polymer electrolytes for solid-state potassium-ion batteries at ICAEM2024 (Phuket Island, Thailand, 25-27 Jan. 2024). He was awarded for best oral presentation.
III SUPERBAT school in UCM
On Thursday and Friday 19-20th October 2023 took place the 3rd edition (fully in person) of the SUPERBAT International School on Batteries and Supercaps. This year we had the pleasure to include Professor Michel Armand among our lecturers.
1st year review meeting in Ülm/Heilbronn
On Thursday and Friday 27-28th October 2023 we SPIRIT members gathered to discuss progress and visit the facilities from KIT/HIU at Ülm and IOLITEC at Heilbronn.
